weird knocking sound...

i just put a fresh tank of gas in my car about 2 days ago and now whenever i get on it it makes a strange knocking. bad gas? what else could it be? replies will be appreciated.

do you mean pinging? Does it kind of sound like a metallic rattle? If so you got bad gas or you need to up the octaine.

yeah sounds like a pinging, kinda like sometin is being thrown around in there. i dont need to up the octane because i always run 93.
