i just change the clutch for my 90 integra ls and got everything hooked up. when i went to test drive it....i can't seem to put in 1st gear or any other gears.....but when i turn off the engine i'm able to put it in gear.......so i start the engine with first gear in. the car jumps as if your a begginer ......and then thats it...seems like the clutch is not engaging can someone please help me....this is my one car the i depend on to work and school.

 

First things first, since this is simple to check, look at your cable and make sure it's adjusted properly. Since you start the car in 1st gear and it jumps, and also since you can't shift, it sounds like it's always engaged.

So check that out first.
