Default underhood number 44 fuse keeps popping

i have a 96 civic. the number 44 fuse keeps popping. this fuse is located under the hood in the engine compartment. this fuse spiders into many things including the fuel pump, main relay, injectors ... all kinda of things.
ill admit i am over working my injectors and know i need to get larger ones.

but the fuse pops even without serious load. ive run out of ideas. hoping someone can help me out.

thank in advance.

ok then tell what all you have done to affect the load of the fuse. Also is the link just seperated or black and gone?

well ...

the fuel pump is a walbro 255lph
everything else on the circuit is OE
the engine harness does have a obd2a -> obd1 coversion harness. no frayed wires though.

the fuse has "popped". there is no longer a physical connection between the two metal prongs. there is some black "char" i guess you could call it, in the fuse itself.

I am wondering if the my "over-working" the injectors has caused the fuse to continually pop. I hooked up my S300 and recorded. at one point i saw the duty cycle at 139% shortly after that the fuse did pop. i replaced it with another fuse and babbied it home about 2 blocks. but later the following day i started the car and could not get it out of the carport before the fuse popped again. i didn't go beyond 4000 RPM.

any suggestions?

check your helms for whatever is on that circuit. im pretty shure one of your power wires is either pinched, folded, or grounding out
