O2 Simulators...
Quick question..When you use an O2 Simulator like Casper for example, does this replace the need for your stock O2 Simulator or do you install them together. Im not even sure what these Simulators are so any info would help.. Thanks

The O2 simulator does fool the ecu. When you get the O2 simulator you have to have a high flow cat. I used a test pipe and bought one and the CEL was still on. Casper said you have to have some sort of back pressure for the O2 simulator to work correctly. In my 99 civic si it plugged into the front O2 sensor just up the wire a little bit from the actual sensor. Yes they have to be together. Hope that helped.

So if I have a test pipe (no cat) and an O2 Sensor Wired with a simulator, I will still have a CEL code. The real reason I am asking this question is primarily to pass emissions on my OBD2 motor

Yes thats correct you will still have the CEL because you need some sort of back pressure for the o2 simulator to actually work. So high flow cat or what i did is just put my stock cat back on and am waiting to buy a high flow cat. Test pipe was hella loud and cool and everything but all it did was throw a CEL code and made my car backfire a lot. No power gains or anything.

I think what Im gonna do is find someone who would let me borrow their stock exhausts just to put on during emissions...I really dont care if I have a CEL code later, as long as I have none during the emissions test than I am fine
