Default Please help with h22 shifter in integra

Hey I'm close to finishing my h22 swap into my integra and have a quick question. When putting the shifter in how to you know where excactly to make the whole for it since you can't adjust the length of the cables it has to be perfect, i was wondering how everyone else did it to make sure it was the right fit. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. That helps clear things up. Another question if somone wants to answer. How do you route the cables over the metal bar above the exhaust, there's no room in my integra without cutting something out, there's a big metal black bar and a black metal frame that seams to be in the way. Thanks for any help.

in this pic you can see where a another area was cut to run the cables under the car, once under there they ran straight up to the tranny, with hardly ANY slack at all, the key
is to just hook the tranny end of the linkage up and place the shifter where its all snug
AND comfy!

hope this helps?

that metal frame piece is the rear crossmember. It is held in place by 10 19mm bolts. Loosen each bolt until the subframe drops far enough to route the cables through, then tighten it up again.

Does anybody ever use the H22 hybrid sticky thread for reference? The first page goes over all of this.
