Default victor x vs bbk ssi

I did a lot of search on the bbk and everybody pretty much didn't know either. I saw a lot of responces saying that they are the sam e except for the size of the tb. Wich one would you guys go with? I'm not even sure if they make a bbk for a b18c5 head. Also, would a 70mm tb be too big anyways? let me know whats up. thanks

my understanding is that both are based on the type R manifold, so better performance gains can be had elsewhere. I think the victor X may have the capability for additional injectors, if going forced ind. At least the manifold they sell with their turbo kit does. I think both mannys are made as an upgrade for C1's and b16's.

70mm is fine. I think Edelbrock even makes a 75mm for race applications. But that one is better suited for engines that are flowing a lot of air and/or higher compression.

The victor x is a nice manifold as well, but again, is made for engines that are going to be flowing more air and/or higher compression. I don't think there were significant gains that I've seen on a stock 1.8L B18C1/5.

the victor X is really made for force induction applications. It didnt hold me back any on my old all motor setup as I made 209whp with stock exhaust, but you will see much better gains on a FI setup. Unfortunately I didnt get the chance to compare it to my stock IM on my old setup.

i am running a 12.5:1 compression so i think that would work good. any port matching would have to be done with the edelbrock?

my head was ported at the time, so yeah I port matched it. not sure if it needs to be port matched on a stock head.

If you are revving the motor out, Im sure you will see some nice top end peak power with the 12.5 c/r. Are you running a big cam as well?

which Im pretty ******* sure is impossible....</TD></TR></TABLE>

All you need to do is modify the water neck.

Regardless, the VictorX can be had for both PR3 and P72 heads.

We have seem some great numbers with the VictorX on N/A cars, especially those that are revving past 8500. They make their largest gains the higher you revv.

However, the Import Builders IM looks very promising as well, although there isn't much documentation on big motors.
