broken tranny piece question
what piece is this? mine is broken (obviously)...i can't see how to remove it other than drill it out. there is a plug on the other side? do i remove that to unscrew it? or would i be better off swapping the whole tranny? here are the pics.

Only thing I could think of is grind it down flat or a little further,
then weld in some kind of piece in the same shape with threads on the inside.
It won't exactly be an easy weld though, because I think the casing is cast AL.
But it Can be done, I've had a cast AL oilpan welded, and it patched up fine.

You need another tranny case. That one belongs in a dumpster at this point. I'd think any B series case would do. Transfer the parts over, check the clearances like it says in the manual and drive on.
