Time for an upgrade from 6.5" wheels & old Azenis tires....Suggestions for Auto-x
Time for an upgrade from old Rota 15*6.5" wheels and old Azenis tires.
Not ready to upgrade to R comps yet. Would like to hang out in STS class for some more time.
What is the good combination of wheels and tires for a GSR car mainly used for Auto-x in STS class ? 15*7 wheels and Falkens?
Any good package deals avaialble? Not worried about wet traction, how many miles tires will last etc as this is NOT a dailt street driven Integra.
Not planning to spend on 7.5" wheel as they seems to be really expensive
btw Car is a 99 GSR running on 400 Front and 450 Rear GC's and Koni yellows. Type-R rear sway bar, Corner weighed etc...you get the idea of a mildly modded GSR.

how about trying 16x7 wheels with 205/40/16 Falken Azenis? supposedly shorter than 205/50/15 but its also not as wide.
I haven't tried this setup but that seems what the trend in STS is now, moving up to 16in wheels and 205/40/16 Azenis. I would try it if I was running STS2

205s are too narrow (personally) for any car over 2400lbs. And the 205/40x16" are more narrow than the 205/50x15s.
I'm going ot be running 215/45x16" shaved Falken Azenis on some 16x7.5" wheels soon. That setup worked great for my 00 Civic Si about 2 years ago.

What are the popular 16x7 wheels ( Less expensive, light weight)? Are there any 16x7.5" wheels for less than $500-600

16x7.5 Kosei K1s come to mind. I don't know if they're still available though, I got mine a few years ago.
