Default ES Mount Install

The other day i went to install my ES mounts. I went to take the bolt out closest to the radiator on the front mount. It was rusted as hell and I couldnt get enough leverage to break it loose because of the tight space. I sprayed the hell out of it with PB Blaster and some other lubricants and no luck.

That bolt can be hard to remove. If you want to make it much easier to get out, remove the radiator first. It's better than rounding off the bolt and being screwed.

Soak it in PB Blaster or WD-40, use a breaker bar, and make sure you have the proper size 6-pt socket and hammer the socket on so the bolt doesn't strip.

The problem is the limited space that I have for a breaker bar.

Ive taken off my front motor mount a few times. I used a breaker bar with 2 extentions and an wobble extension. I didint use any lubricants.

Once I was trying to get that bolt out for the longest time, and realized I was trying to turn the nut that's welded onto the mount. man I felt dumb.

There are 7 bolts total. 3 that mount the upper part to the trans, 1 long bolt thru the mount, and 3 that mount the bottom to the frame.

Oh and a hint when you are installing them once you have the bushings in, install the mount in pieces. The bottom first, then attach the top part and bolt it to the trans.

Thanks guy I got it. I ended up just pulling the fan out and that left me alot more room to work with. I definately feel the difference when shifting especially at higher rpms.
