launching technique for dummies =)
well I was reading about launching techniques and I was wondering if someone can explain pre-loading the drivetrain using e-brake technique. I admit that I am an amateur driver and would like to know what is the best way to launch a high HP FWD car. Best way meaning to avoid breaking parts and also resulting in a quick 60ft. My setup is in my sig and for drivetrain :
gsr tranny
quaife LSD
act flywheel
act max extreme pressure plate w/ 6 puck disk
driveshaft shop stage 5 axles
full-race traction bars
Suspension
all stock typeR parts except for :
tokico illuminas and h&r race springs
wheels = 205/40/17 on 17" montegi ff7
i want to know how fast the car is in street trim thats why i am using the 17" rims and also i am only running 15psi = 430whp.
How do u guys launch? What tires are u using and what are some of your 60ft times?

your just wasting your time with street tires. i ran on low boost makeing 410whp with 205/50/15 es100's and ran a 12.6 spinning all the way down the track. with slicks i run a 11.6
you dont need to worry about preloading to much with your axles.
but you hold your e-brake and ease the clutch out tell you can barely feel the car creep foward, then release the e-brake&clutch at the same time.
