radio install on a 97 prelude
okay so i searched first Your search for radio returned 33 results. and i read everyone and still cant figure this out... i got the harness like everyone says to do and i wired it correctly and then i plug it into my pioneer head unit and nothing, no power or anything. i am not running any subs or any amps just trying to swap out the head unit. i noticed that the rear speakers dont work with the stock radio also. i looked at the harness i got and i noticed the amp power (blue wire maybe with a black strip, at work cant remember) and noticed there is no wire from the stock harness to connect to that. do i need to wire this directly to a fuse that has power with the key on?
if anyone can help with any of this issues id really appreciate it
thanks

I swapped my deck last summer, from stock to a Pioneer. Because I was a keener (stupid) I didn't have the harness, so I had to figure out all the wires myself.
You will have to bypass the Accoustic Feedback System thingy in the trunk (hook up your speakers directly to the wires that go from the deck to the feedback system. Pioneer sound is way better than stock with feedback.
Check if all the wires are right with a battery and a multimeter. If you put a 1.5V battery to both speaker wires, they'll make noise
CHECK your fuses. I blew mine twice in the process.
Make sure you have the right power hooked up, there are different ones, check the ACC.
Hope this helps.
