Default Cranks.

Ok this might be a slightly stupid question, i need to rebuild my D16 bottom end, problem is the rod journals need to be resurfaced. I have a D15 bottom end. Was wondering if the D15 crank would work in the D16 bottom end. I Know the stroks are diffrent and all but would that not allow it to run? maybe if i used the D15 pistions also sence there flat top? Or my other question is will the D16 pistons work in the D15 block if i use the D16 head? hahaha hope you can fallow this. i need to get the car running so i can sell it. dont have a whole lot of money to work with myself. Dad said if i can get my car sold by myself then hell buy me a 99-00 Si. Thank for the help/ advice. i know this is kinda like ghetto rigging them, i just need the engine to start and run.

If i remember correctly all D series cranks are the same but the grille isnt. I would recommend PMing Earl. His the only one i would trust with this info.

Believe me, I not an expert on D combinations but I do know that the D15 and D16 use different main bearings. So to me that would mean the D15 crank would not fit into a D16 block. They use different rod bearings also so I would not think anything would be interchangeable. I could be wrong.
Find a shop that specializes in D to B swaps. They would probably sell you a D series for next to nothing. I like your Dad's deal with you
