Default cluster clock problem

i have a 1993 civic that has the cluster clock now the problem is that its doesnt save the time it always restart when i turn the car off and it doesnt illuminate. it onlys illuminate when i press the reset button. it aint the wire harness that lead to the clock cause i jus fnished changing it to a neww one and it aint the clock cause i swith the clock with one of my friends that does work and it still has the problem. i have no other idea what it could be help me out people

Check fuse #32 in your under hood fusebox and fuse #15 in your under dash fusebox
