So first sand the parts? or just primer them?
Then spray adhesive promoter or no?
Then do light coats of paint, wetsand, clear coat, wetsand and buff?

I had the same problem when I bought my 95 gsr also- the paint was horrible, especially bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and spoiler. I got the car buffed, waxed, glazed, all that good stuff and everything came out nice no more pink all red and shinny-

Or just plain wetsand them?
I've buffed them (normal random orbit buffer/wax) no luck

buffing/waxing follows the wetsanding for shine.

You'de bu surprised at what that Flitz product does. I have it and use/used it very often with good results. Haven't used it on painted surface yet though. But I will. I've polished my exhaust and headlights on my EM1 and it came out great. Also did the glass on my GN.

Anyway, sorry to get OT, g/l with your project

Never used the Powerball but the Flitz product was out way before that. The Meguiars ball appears to be foam though, the Flitz it a Terry towel with "fingers". hard to explain.

Just an example,

My muffler before:

After 10 minutes of using a drill (very easy):

So what would I use the ball exactly for? (carbody wise)?

You can use it on paint also (hard to reach areas where a buffer won't/can't fit).
