im considering buying the jdm EL cluster for my 93 lude. i want the km/h. I dont know if it has been done but im sure it has. Can someone help and give me guidance or a link that may contain instructions to do so?

 

if you search i almost bet it has been done! i know for a fact that there is a wire scheme for the change from regular to el conversion.

 

well i haven't done it and wont need too once I finish the Right hand drive swap. But I did make a wire harness for my 92 to put a JDM cluster in the US clips so it pretty much make the JDM cluster plug and play. I can give you a hand and let you know what JDM wires need to go where to work. the Invertor should just be a simple power hook up unless you hook it to the dimmer but that may all work together. I don't have an EL cluster yet but will look for one once my swap is done. (front clip got here yesterday)

 

But if you buy a JDM cluster you will still in need of USDM housing - the shape is different - the cluster is not symetrical...

 

yea, you will need to remove the front housing and a few other things. it wont fit perfect but it will go in. Wiring is not hard if you know where everything goes.

 

im not that worried about wiring. i curious of fitment. i know that the mounts are obviously opposite but im curious if its still possible to mount it and still be flush.
