Hydrolocked.
I was driving to a friends house last night and ran into a pretty deep pool of water and the car just died. Im not sure if its hydrolocked for certain. Im wondering what I should do; should I let it sit for awhile and dry up some? any advice would be helpful.
pull all the spark plugs before you try to do anything! then if there's water in the cylinders, and you try and turn it over, it'll come out instead of bending a rod (which you may have already done)
no, i have 2 friends that blew hydrolocked their motors going through semi-deep water pretty fast but not submerged, like when you go through it and it splashes up water 6 feeet in the air next to your car

i just hydrolocked my s2k motor, i got oj compression 216 across, but leakdown numbers were 10-15% n each cylinder, and a hona mechanic said yo man those are good numbers and that honda doesnt have any set limits for leakdown.....ive found out hondas max leakdown limit is 10% and most dealers will tear down at 7%.

Good luck on the repairs. I would verify the extent of the damage before proceeding.
