this is really pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!
at night i have to wait for my tail lights to go on after i i hit the switch to turn on my lights,my dashboard lights dont go on either.once my dashboard lights go on then by tail lights go on as well.its pissing me off because some imes it takes like 30 sec and sometimes like 5 min for my tail lights and my dashbord lights to go on *** well.i checked all the fuses, relays and nothing.i already tried search but non of the criteria fits awnsers my question. any help is REALLY apreciated.thanx guys!
your gonna have to through a wiring diagram, start off with your switch, check and see if its sending the power when flipped on...
is there anything else i could check to not go the long way first.im not desapreciating your post.its that i dont wanna start sumting big and it ends up being sumting easy to fix.but thanx for helping man!
.
ok. here is what ived cheked..fuses,relays in the fuse board. the main relay (witch by the way i dont think it matters but just in case) another fatty relay than when i uplug it my dashboard lights go off but my tail lights still suffers the same problem.that means that the problem is earlier in the circuit than that specific relay

you might think that im lieing but i already have. but it wasnt my friends it is my own car. i have 3, 4th gen hatchbacks.88,90,91.and my 88 is starting to do the same thing too.but thanx for helping me out man!
Yea that would **** me off too. So my thoughts are...
Check voltage at light (when prob is occuring)
Pull ground and make sure of ground.
Trace back to relay... check voltage at relay
check voltage before relay
" " " " after sw
bfore sw.
Do you see where I am going? Just keep it simple. It is only a sw, a relay, and a lightbulb.
I am thinking either ground or relay(Which you have tried)There is alot of rust back by the taillights so start with grounds to the lights
Pain in the **** I know but you could pay someone a couple hundred to figure it out. Some encouragement!! Good Luck
