I bought my hatch to drive everyday to give my ITR a rest. My hatch is in the shop right now with the heart out of it so I'm forced to drive my R. Saturday morning, I went to get my hair cut and parked my car at the end of the isle. There were about 7 cars in the lot, but mine was parked by itself. To make a long story short, when I came out, something caught my eye as I walked by. Sure enough, someone hit my car and drove off. No note or anything. The good thing is, the shop I go to did a JDM conversion on a PY ITR a while back and in the deal, he got to keep the USDM front end for doing the labor. I got the front passenger side fender off him for $70 and put it on today. I feel much better now.
Now all I need to do is get my hatch back from them and I'll feel even better.

 

 

Thats one of my worst fears with my R in a parking lot, that and my R being gone when i get back

Yeah, I feel better driving it now. I just didn't feel the same about it til today. It is beautiful once again.

 

Hey, Im in Louisville KY too. I will be picking up my ITR on saturday. Do you work at Ford? I think you have raced me before on the street right in front of the Ford plant (Factory Ln?) I was in my yellow S2000. I had just bought the car when I saw you and it was not broken in so I didnt race, but you took got on it, and I said to my wife, damn, if I was to race he probably would have got me. Nice looking ITR. Really fast.

 

LOL, yeah that was me. I remember that day. I was trying to see if you would bite. Just wanted to see what my ITR would do againt it. Did you sell your S2000? I almost bought one about 3 months ago, but I just couldn't let the R go. It was white. What year ITR are you getting and who are you buying it from?

 

Yea, I sold the S2000. My wife and I wanted a bigger home, so I had to free up some capital, so out with the S2000. Well, after 5 months driving a ls integra I had enough, so I started seriously looking for an ITR, I found a 97 with 46K miles in perfect condition, minor mods, all service records for 18,500 with brand new falken tires coming in tomorrow. I got him down to 17,200 and bit. I am driving to dayton OH to pick it up on Sat. I can give you guys a real comparison between the s2000 and the ITR, I have about 7 months seat time in the s2000, just give me a few weeks with the ITR and Ill let you know. Do you autoX your ITR, if so, give me some details on that, it sounds like fun to me. The guy Im buying the car from is the second owner, the first owner had a shop, I think it was called DefconOne Racing. If anyone knows this guy or knows of any problems with the car, let me know please.

I've got a beater CRX for a daily driver now .. I drove the R once last week and lo and behold when going 80 on the highway an SUV kicked up a wood plank and it smacked the front end ... bad luck At least it didn't go through the windshield though

 

it seems like no one leaves notes these days. I hit a parked car once and left a note...the lady was so pleased she only made me pay half.
