replacing axle, but wont go back into the spindle...

...first it was a bitch trying to get the old axle out, now the new one doesnt want to go in. It has the right amount of teeth, and I lubed it up and everything. Any ideas?

if trying to put in tranny wiggle in circular motion as pushing inwards
