Default H22 type s pistons?

im building an h22a with roughly 50k and i need to know if i can hone the block for new rings etc. the reason i ask is due to the nickasil (sp) coating which ususally prevents them from being honed thanks in advance

h22a's come with a .5mm nikasil layer.. which (as far as ive seen) CAN BE honed a small amount for new rings. as long as the bore is still good and straight than there should be no problems.. just be sure to let the machine shop know that the sleeves are nikasil coated and they know not to hone too much material

good luck..

i'm also going to be using the Type-S pistons for my own build
