sleeved H22 w/type S pistons
has anyone heard of stock type S piston rings not workin in a iron sleeved block. since the H22 has the "composite" lining.

If you sleeved the block the FRM lining is gone, it's an iron block...why aren't you running forged pistons and better rings

long story. we havent decided which pistons yet. we got oversized type S pistons for the stock block, but we found the groove in the lining was too deep. then we had hella problems gettin an answer on how to properly hone the H22 linings, to make a long story short it was opted to sleeve the block.

What up Dustin, its Reid.
Why not use a set of je or other aftermarket rings w/ the type s pistons? I wish I knew about the stock rings but I am stumped. I would think it would be ok to use stock rings, but I am not sure. Let me know what you find out.
BTW, let me know when you want to order the sleeves, I have the hookup through RACE ENGINEERING! I'll hook it up!!
