One more Axle Question
Last night I was able to get the pass. side axle into the half shaft and then into the tranny....however, the driver side seems to be about 1/4" short of going completely into the tranny. I was able to get the far end of the axle into the knuckle, and then the rest of the suspension is on too....
the tranny side of the axle is in the tranny input, but has about 1/4 " to go before being seated flush with the tranny. Any suggestions to get the axle all the way in? I used grease (not too much, but followed the service manual) and a new set ring as well....just have nowhere really to shove the axle in and didn't want to put too much pressure on the boot.
