Default tuning with bolt ons?

Would there be any point? Im just curious if u can tune with say something like a vafc for very minor bolt ons (i/h/e/test pipe) and gain any power...this would be on a d16y8...i was talkin to this one guy that owns a shop and he said i could probably get around a good 5whp from tuning..just wondering if its true

edit: Also...im thinkin about upgrading my current throttlebody and i was wondering which would be a good choice...im probly gonna go with a B series one cuz i read that it fits fine on my y8...so which one would be the best? (b16, ls, gsr,h22..etc)

waste of money and time tuning would be better if you had cams etc!

on a single cam with your set up i would deffinitly say its a waste of money you still wouldnt be making much power even if you did have cams
