removing axle from halfshaft

does anyone have a trick to remove a stubborn axle from a halfshaft?

I just use a prybar and maybe some soft hits with a hammer

pry the damn thing off with a fat pry bar, use instant impact when prying.

use a big round socket and put it in between and hammer it down
