Default Swaybar

Im looking for a high quality sway bar. Im not on a budget im just looking for the best performing sway bars. So far ive seen ppl are mostly using Neuspeed,ST, and also Progress. What do you guys suggest ? Also ive been readin that many of you have removed your front sway bar, will that cause any problems since i have the SH model ?

If your not on a budget, get a set custom made for your car to your exact preferences.
You also left out Tanabe, they make good suspension accessories even though they have the hinge joint.

No need to remove the front bar on a street car. If you track the car and run very high spring rates, you can usually do without it since the high rates will control body roll. The SH front bar also comes thinner from the factory than the front bar on the base model. Removing the front bar will help with rotation (kick out the rear end) which may not be safe on the street with an average driver.

All three of those companies make a good swaybar. I'd pick Neuspeed over ST because the Neuspeed comes with heavy duty mounting brackets to upgrade the thin OEM ones. The Progress bar also comes with mounting brackets, is slightly thicker, and is adjustable. I just removed my Neuspeed bar and installed a Progress bar. Haven't driven it too much yet but I like the feel a little bit better of the Progress on the medium setting vs. the Neuspeed. Slight difference. If you can get a good deal, either is a great bar.

Finish was better on the Neuspeed brackets though - they clearly put more time into making them. I had to sand, prime, and paint my Progress brackets because they came from the factory with some surface rust The bar itself seems to be equal in quality to the Neuspeed though.

One thing to keep in mind during install is to order locking aluminum collars (2 per bar) so that the bar doesn't slide and hit the rear shocks. Neuspeed takes a 1" collar and Progress takes a 1 1/16" although Progress now includes a pair of collars in their kit. They're cheap though - you can find them at machine supply stores online for a few dollars each.

You could go custom but unless you race, its a waste of money. Any of the three brands he mentioned are great, as well as the Tanabe bar. There are no hinges in any swaybar by the way - you're thinking of a strut brace
