Default b18c1 in 4th gen hatch question..

whats up,
i have a 91 DX hatch and was looking into the b18c1 engine setup. im really interested in going N/A. was wondering if anyone out there can give me some feedback to what their setup is like and what their results are (i.e: track times, mods, N/A or FI, etc). and would it be better to go N/A or FI? im really confused about which way to go. any ideas or feedback will help. thanx in advance..

im planning on doing a b18c1 turbo this summer, you'll need to wire up your dx for mpfi and get an obd0 to obd1 conversion harness. (it may be easier just to get a complete si wire harness, engine bay and car harness instead of mpfi conversion) you will also have to run wires for vtec solonoid. to save money and hassle get a b series cable trans from a B16a1 or 90-93 integra ls. you will also need 90-93 teg axles and intermediate shaft. b series mounts are needed. adjustable shift linkage will be needed but aparently 90-93 teg will work (havent ever seen this so im not %100 sure). you will also need 90-93 teg radiator hoses. the swap wont really be that hard if you get all the parts and have everything wired up before hand. get your ecu chipped so it doesnt look for a knock sensor. gsr ecu should plug right in and work fine w/ the obd0-obd1 conversion harness i believe.

figure 3080K for swap
sell trans buy 90-93 cable tranny
trade axles for 90-93
buy conversion harness (150)
buy mounts 500
buy shift linkage 500
radiator hose 10
ecu prolly around 150
chipped 250-500 depending on what you want to do w/ it

get 5 grand before you do it just incase you encounter problems. turbo will be about an extra 3500 (turbo kits are cheaper but ya never know what might get fuct)

if i missed anything post it up

recently i met a guy with one, very quick, i think it ran 13.8 on street tires. any b-series mount kit will work. the engine being taller creates some problems, the valve cover rubs the hood, so you might need to trim out the supports. the oilpan sits close to the ground, but not really bad. other than that it looks like it belongs in there. i know there are a few guys with them on this board, maybe they will help you. all in all i was impressed
