Question about Skunk 2 PRO 1's and how they idle
Ok I've just spent the past couple of days going thru the archives of old skunk 2 pro 1 threads trying to find out what they idle at and the info about them is sketchy at best.
I've talked to my local tuner and he said they idle around 1000-1200rpm and it is a rough idle. So I'm putting the question out there.
Has anyone gotten the Skunk 2 PRO 1's to idle at 850rpm? If not what's the range they idle at?
So far things I've read up on to get them to idle smoothly, +2 intake +2 exhaust for cam gear settings. I understand this is different based on the setup so I'm just using it as a guide.
They require 15:1 a/f ratio at idle.....is this tru? I find this hard to believe.
and they have a lumpy idle. They wouldn't be smooth.
These are just the things I've read up on here and my tuner has confirmed this some what, but told me he didn't have enough time to tune them more for other reasons. He has only had one set to tune.
Please any help given is appreciated

To get them to idle correctly you need to take away some fuel at idle. My roomate got his to idle at around 900-950 and they sounded almost like stock. PM El_Capitan here on H-T...he can tell you exactly what he had to do.
Did a set last night. they idle about 900 @ 15.1 af.. I bumped it up to 1100 though so it will never stall after throttle tip in.

My ECU is adjustable. I can pivot it left and right. Does this mean i can install OBX VTEC Eliminators?

I selected the Pro 2's for my brothers car. I've achieved a stable Idle at 900 rpm with excellent throttle response, but it's a little 'lopey' due to the higher compression and ultra-light flywheel.
Thanks a lot guys
Been researching a bit more and one said to have the timing at 20-22 degree base timing. He did have it running more on the richer side at idle though with 13.5-13.8 a/f ratio. I assume this is to prevent detonation because of the advanced timing.
