i have a vafc controller and i know its for vtec but could i use it on my b18b thats in my crx to help tune it and no it does not have vtec but just a the air/fuel flow would it still work good

Yes you can run a vafc on a non vtec car like an AFC

it also is a very poor way to tune. I would look into other ways of mananging your motor.
