** -- Can I use a V-AFC on a NON-VTEC engine -- ** ?
Hello, I want to use a Vafc hacked to control my 450CC injector for my Fi application. But my engine is a 1999 b18b nonvtec running on a obd1 P06 ECU. I was wondering if the V-AFC would work as GOOD as a S-AFC. By the way, are those two product the same except for vtec ?
Thanks

I believe they are the exact same just one with vtec and one without, but i'm not 100% sure. I had both and I don't recall and thing else. You could install it of course, just couldn't use the vtec control. Why not just do the safc or are you getting a good deal on the vafc.

you should beable to, just not the vtec. Hey i have a safc on my b18c1, if you want we could trade and I know it would work perfect on your car. I've had it for less about 6 months.

yeah it'll work, you just won't hook up the vtec wire...other than that they are more/less the same function

But.... is the functions and functionality of a VAFC on a b18b would be the same same same as if I had a SAFC ? Also, do I need a aftermarket fuel pump ? caus I don't have one on my SMC+ and it is working A1, but seems like people is urging on having a aftermarket fuel pump with AFC... why ?
Thanks

yes, it would be the same, that's why you should give it to me, i have nothing to lower my vtec and then i could get you my safc. LoL, if you wanted to. I didn't have a pump when i first started. But i'd be willing to give you my 255lph intank and my safc for you vafc if you wanted to do a trade.

Although the functions are the same on both except VTEC control you should get the SAFC instead as you have the advantage of using it to read the o2 output giving you an additional monitoring device for free
