I have a built B18A block and B18B head. I will be boosting it 20 psi. It is a 97 HX, but it will be converted to OBDI. What is the best aftermarket ignition system to get or do I need one? I'm pretty sure I will, but I don't know that much about the ignition system. I was thinking I'd probably go with MSD stuff, but can anyone tell me what all parts I would need for the best spark for that much boost? Thanks.

 

I got a MSD SCI with rev limiter with a blaster SS on my motor boosting 12 psi. It great to have a MSD because of the cylinder pressure is greater then stock. Just look in there web site they got lots of stuffs.

Some people say MSD production is not reliable but I been having my MSD for 6 year now with no problem.

 

I figured I would go with MSD, but I didn't know how many different kinds of systems they had for Hondas/4cylinders. So all I would need is a coil and the MSD box?

 

A healthy stock ignition. Stock Honda ignitions are still run on cars making in excess of 500whp with no problems. No need for the added cash of aftermarket when they got it right the first time.
