i have a 90 crx si sith a ls swap, avid mounts. my problem is when ever i turn left and push the gas at higher rpms the car feels like something is loose(repeated hits like a drum). but when ever i am a lower or even higher rpms but not giving it a lot a gas it is really smooth. anyone have an idea of what this could be.
my susp. set up is kyb adjustables(not agx) with sportline springs. if that would help
thanks

i took the dust sheilds off. Double checked. and i have had 3 different sets of tires on the front. it is only the passenger side. i have check the tie rod and it is tight.
has anyone ever had problems with the tranny tapping the torsion bar, dont think it does it any more ,but, it might still be doing it i cant really feel it any more. it used to do it with different mounts
i dont know what it is. i have checked all of the bolts, and hub but still does it.

So to re-iterate: the problem occurs under load with the wheel cut hard to the left. You can enter the corner slowly or at high RPM with your foot off the gas & you DON'T hear the noises?
This is a tough one to narrow w/o more info. How old are your ball joints, steering rack bushings, tie rod ends, axles & halfshafts, swaybar endlinks etc? The extremes in geometry your suspension goes through under load in a corner won't manifest themselves when the car is parked and on the rack. Look very carefully.
I had a similar problem 2 years ago: B16 swap, Hasport mounts. It wasn't until I disassembled most of the front end and re-spec'ed every nut & bolt that the problem went away. I found quite a few loose bolts- including the passenger's side engine mount & I also re-seated my axles and wouldn't you know it, the left one popped in about a quarter inch!
Have you pulled off any extra pieces that could be coming into contact with the block or rear crossmember- such as the swaybar? I'm not familiar w/ your mount kit, but how are clearances with regard to radius rods, LCA's? With the exhaust & the swaybar? Thumps & bumps can come from odd places. In 90% of my experiences with Honda's of this age, it is coming from the suspension- worn out old ball joints or old steering rack components. Just food for thought. HTH

i was told the front end was just rebuilt both driver and passenger. I guess it could be my shocks sense they were sitting on a car for about 5 years. i know that he rear crossmember wasnt hit enough so the elbow mount is really close to crossmember.
dont know what it is i guess i can go and take the whole side apart and put it back together
thanks for the help.
