Default Cutting Bumpstops

I cut my OEM bumpstops in half per GC instructions. Is it okay to cut it in half again like this?

What spring rates do you have?

How much suspension travel do you have?

spring rates are my secret.

i have close to 3 inchs of suspension travel

that inverting setup, i think, will cost you close to 5 inchs per corner.

Fair enough...

3" travel with the vehicle loaded and the springs compressed? To me it just seems a lot, but if you're running shortened shocks then yeah I could see that.

Something is telling me I need more suspension travel. I have roughly 1" only, thus i want to cut the bumpstop in half. I've already raised the car up 1.5"

Are these 3011s in the photo the actual shock you are using or a photo of someone else's set-up that has no reltaionship to your car. This is an older and pretty extreme system and it has nothing whatsoever to do with anything that ground Control makes.

Are you talking about the rears or the fronts? On the rears shown in this photo, if you are not getting enough available stroke then the extension on the lower bearing to the adjuster window can certainly be shortened giving you back strooke at teh ride height you want. That is pretty easy to do once you get the static ride height target length. In the fronts, there isn't as easy a path to kill dead length and that is one of a few reasons why we don't use the inverted system like this much anymore.

On those 3011 bump stops, there isn't much that you can trim off and still have much left. if you are talking about stock Honda bump stops on a different set-up, they they would start life many times longer than the 3011 bump stops.

No those are not what I use. I have OTS konis/GC, I used that picture to show how long the bumpstop is and if I should cut mine down to that length.
