Default Exhaust Whistler that makes the sporty sound...

Is this worth buying for the Accord?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

It definitely saves money on a new exhaust to get the sound I've always wanted! But I am concerned about any harmful effect to the engine or the interior by blocking the passage in the muffler. Any comments?

I do not like the looks of it. It looks like it is greatly blocking off the airflow by making it go through such a small tube. My theory is that the noise is caused by the excess pressure while the air tries to squeeze thru that small outlet at the end, making the whistle noise. My guess... BAD!!! I just think it will build up pressure and damage the piping, not to mention how easily that thing could come loose! Do yourself a favor and just save up for the exhaust system. You get the deeper tone, better air/exhaust flow, and you dont have to worry about some dinky thing falling out of your muffler or your car blowing up! That thing is for all you m4d-Vt4k!!1!111!one!1!11!!one!!!1! R1c3r5 out there

it will do nothing for your car except make all the girls wonder whats wrong with it. if you want to restrict flow, look like a goof, and possibly damage other vehicles when that flies out on the highway, be my guest.

it's useless, and you'd be better off putting the money towards something that's beneficial and doesn't make you look like Bubb Rubb, like an aftermarket exhaust.

That thing does nothing except make a whistling sound. It does not change the exhaust note otherwise.

It will not damage the piping, unless your piping is made of aluminum foil. It will not make your car blow up.

That thing no where near resembles a BOV, and it doesn't even imitate a BOV's noise.

This stupid little whistler thing is nothing more than a piece of crap. If you want to waste $20, at least waste it on a lap dance at your local strip club.

althought i highly agree...i doubt any even considering buying this cares even the slightest on how it decrease power...if they are willing to waste $$ they are willing to block up their exhaust for that awesome "BOV" sound! gotta love that chirp!

it wouldnt decreast power any...but anyways why dont you save up and put a REAL turbo on your car then you wont have to have that pos in your exhaust and like someone else said have ppl wondering wtf is that noise? cuz trust me man as good as it might sound to some ricers...it wont sound like a turbo and even if it does.you dont have one...so when ppl are like dude take me for a ride i wanna see how quick this thing is..and they will be extremely disappointed...save up for real aftermarket parts that will naturally make it sound like that with no ricer look!
