Clutch feeling....very odd
OK so in a nutshell, there is something up with the clutch pedal and the way it feels. I know most, if not ALL, of you will agree if you drive your car a lot then you know how your car feels. OK well I know how my clutch feels(the pressure that is needed to press in the clutch and the force that it springs back). Well mine seems to change big time between hard, and then loose and springy. I'm not sure what causes this, but I notice if I am in traffic going slow in rush hour it seems pretty stiff, then there will be a break in traffic and I will get on the gas and run through 1st and 2nd after which the clutch gets very light and loose. It's a huge difference in feeling, almost like the clutch pedal is weightless...that's how big the difference is. Hopefully one of you has experienced this and can tell me what's up. 04, 30,000mi. Anything else you need to know about the car just ask.
Thanks Guys,
Thanks Guys,
Get your clutch bleeded. There could be bubbles in the hydraulic system. Done that for 2 cars, owners said it made a huge difference. One was an 01, the other an 05.
thanks man I will ask Honda to check it out. Wonder if I could get it covered under warranty???? I'm sure they will If I ask right. I have a great relationship with the dealer, not to mention the amount of money my whole family has spent there!
Thanks Again,
Thanks Again,
It shouldn't take long in terms of shop hours. I can get it done in about half an hour flat. In terms of materials, 1 bottle of brake fluid will do.

Good point. Makes sense. How come you don't make more posts like this? Half of your posts make sense, the other half makes me laugh.
In this case, you're heading towards a lot of shop time. Includes dropping the tranny to get to the clutch.

That's what my friend just said, what causes the bearing to get stuck like that? Just a wear and tear thing, faulty, or someone abusing the car??? Or all three..lol
Thanks,
PS you guys think this is covered under warranty? I will call later and ask them.

it sits on the input shaft alittle funny (as in not center) and it acts like a squige taking the grease off the shaft causing the TOB not to slide smoothly and stick!
