if you blow an engine, is it good to reuse some of the parts like the head and stuff. cuz i was thinking of buying a type r head that was on an engine when it blew up. the head looks fine except 1 of the bowls has some scarring in it. could i take it to a machine shop and have it fixed. good idea or bad? thanks for your help guys.

Eh I dunno.. IF your buying a head from an ITR with a blown motor, odds are that the engine was killed due to over-revving and piston to valve contact. Especially if you say it has "scarring".

I personally wouldn't buy it.
