Piston and Rod Install Honing?
For installing pistons and rods on a fresh built motor that has about 10k miles would i have to have the motor honed and align again? can i just have a shop take the old pistons and rods out and put the new ones in?
Youll need to change the rings out.. But if there is still cross hatching on the cylinders then I wouldnt hone it, just get the piston to wall clearances checked..
PM Earl and ask him about it..

i'm gonna get new rings, wrist pins, and bearings just that the motor is in the car already dont want to deal with pulling it all back out to get it honed.
