Confused with Tokico illuminas
i've bought from eBay tokico illumina suspension kit. It contained 4 tokico shocks, and 4 sping. two of them has 5049-F part number (i've assumed that this is front spings), and other two has 5019-R part number (i think those are rear). After installing my rear was lower then front... i dont know if this normal or not? where i can get manual on spings?
sorry to bring back an old thread but I ran into this same problem. My front of my car was lifted enought that i could easly put my fist into my fender/ wheel gap and my rear sits completly fine. WTF TOKICO! thanks for letting me waste my money on some wack springs. i got a 4x4 civic now

Eibach lowering springs have the same effect. People claim that the rear was lowered more than the front, because of the fender opening size differences front to back, even though they lower the car evenly.

It happened to me too same setup.
I think its cuz their kit is for the integra AND civic so its stiffer/higher up front for the additional 100 lbs+ of the tegs
Thats my theory
I cut my front springs. I know i know bad move
What bad outcomes can come from this?

Ride height is lower than intended, and shock is no longer at the height intended for use (probably not an issue with Illuminas).
Really, it depends on how much you cut. I would have tried the "shock fork trick" to get a slight additional lowering on the front without resorting to cutting springs. If that isn't sufficient of a height change, then I would suggest spring spacers for the rear. Both of these steps still leave the parts "undamaged" (unmodified), unlike cutting material off the spring.
^^^ can u elaborate on these alternative methods for lowering without cutting?
I only cut about 1 3/4 inch from fronts only. They dont bottom out only rarely.
What is the spacers in the rear trick?

Read down to post #8.
There are better posts explaining this, that's just the first search result I got.
Rear spacer would raise the rear slightly. If the issue is the rear is too low compared to the front, lowering the front further or raising the rear will correct the imbalance.
And OT, but learning how to use Google can save a lot of question asking.

I did look it up right after i posted.
But the purpose of this website is to share knowledge with everyone else thats why i wanted it posted for everyone to see. When i ask for info i ALSO look it up. That way other people that have my same question can benefit.

I was mostly trying to demonstrate the "site:" feature of Google search, but did a poor job of explaining that. The search here is decent, but nothing even close to what a site limited Google search can get you.
