ATL autoX this weekend at the Ted. We had about 8 ITR's run at the last event. Black R took the honor of having the fastest ITR at the last event... show us what you've got.

They were even talking about having a practice event on Saturday... I wonder if that is still on after what happened. I'm running both days if possible! Got to get used to my new springs as fast as possible.

Would be cool to see that many ITRs again as last time.

 

Wha? I thought the results were lost... They had posted up as me running a 55.xxx... There's no way in hell I ran that.

Anyway, are you sure it's really on for this weekend? I'll run both days if possible.....

Anyone help me classify my car I have header and exhaust, everything else is stock except for K&N drop in. I know I am gonna get my *** kicked, but...hey its all in fun right?

Run STX, I don't think there is a better class that suits the ITR other than maybe DS for stock ITRs. Plus, it is SO nice to just arrive and drive and not worry about changing tires in 90 degree temps and not have to worry about the guy running against you on hoosiers.

haha, you can only beat we-todd-did driver in that black LS... oh crap, that was me. (I figured out why I was plowing so much... don't think I'll give it to you so easily this time around. )

 

The Isuzu is a typo. Jay Parcon was my hired gun and we both drove my car. Yeah it's kind of bad seeing an Isuzy at the top of the results, but they haven't changed the results yet. This Sunday Jay is back in his Isuzu, so to get a better idea of how fast that car is check out the first event's results where he ran it.

Black R, those times where you had 55s were the pax times. At the end of the results they multiply everyone's times with your class index (0.834 for SM) to figure out the pax and rank everyone up. In theory it should show who is driving their cars the fastest. But in reality that is not easy to do, since very FEW actual cars outside of stock classes are prepared to the maximum of their class's rules. The way that the pax index is figured out for every class is also always up for debate. So don't take the pax results too seriously, especially if your car is far from being fully prepped for that class because the pax index is designed to work with cars that are fully prepped to the particular class.

 

Ken you dumba$$ that is your PAX index (55.007), not your real time...

So what you guys are saying is that these numbers should help you be able to rank yourself against other drivers by effectively taking the class and mods into account? But that they really don't matter b/c nobody fully preps their cars except for a very few...? Well I was happy with that 65.9xx, but always wondering if I hadn't fucked up that one corner in my last run..... maybe I would've run a 64?

I've got another problem too... my toda header is sold and get's shipped this week. So now I have to put on the hytech header and don't have a way to keep it uncorked - I don't think they'll let me run open header... will they? (Last season they told me not to come back after I tried that one event... similar situation...)

 

run a set up similar to what Lip had....extend the piping at a muffler shop and weld a muffler to it...you could get Dan's Apexi canister. You might even be able to run a resonator to help keep noise levels down.

 

I can't make it to the one this weekend .. will be on vacation in FL

Family lives in St. Pete (where I grew up). Party for Granny's 80th bday then off to Orlando for a couple days to visit Universal and Isl. of Adventure - seriously need this vacation from work

lol..im visiting my cousin who goes to UCF. I go down there a few times a year and hit a theme park or two. Last time we did Island of Adventures (Awesome!) and hit Downtown Disney...this time I think I want to check out Sea World, Universal, or MGM again. Sea World has that new ride Kraken which is suppose to be the highest, fastest and only roller coaster to go underwater in Orlando!

 

That is too funny .. I've been down in FL the last two Aprils as well. 2 years ago I went to Disney/Epcot, last year I went to Busch Gardens, and this year it's Univ/IOA. ha ha The g'friend really digs that stuff, and I kind of do to (shh .. ) I always enjoy my vacation there - plus I'm driving the beater this time to keep the miles off the R!!

 

yeah, the Shootout was cancelled for Saturday, but we're planning a Test&Tune that day now. Sunday is full go.
