Default Noise Issue and Replacement Question

OK, so my SI's is lowered on some blue springs...maybe rnr brand? or something like that, these were on the car when I bought it, and i have put around 5k on the car, which now has 56k on it. 2000 Civic Si btw...

well anyways the ride was really bouncy, and creaky... i lifted the car and found that one of the endlinks was busted up, so i bought function 7 endlinks and that fixed one of the noises, but now it is all creaky and bouncy still... when i go over bumps it sounds like someone is jumping on an old bed.

is this just the springs?

what setup would you guys recommend for around $300?

thanks in advance

Bouncy is probably due to the low quality, extremely stiff 'lowering' springs that people tend to throw on their cars.

Squeaking could be the sway bar bushing or possibly blown shocks. If they're stock shocks, it's possible their trashed (which happens with aftermarket springs sometimes) or even if they're good, they're probably contributing to the crappy ride.

You won't get much for $300. I'd look into some Eibach or H&R springs. If your shocks are blown, go with Koni Reds or Tokico Illuminas.

i could up my budget to $400+ if its necessary..

the noise is not coming from the sway setup at all...endlinks and bar are now solid.

thanks for your help

I'm not sure what you mean by that; but most suspension squeaking is caused by bushings. The endlinks cause clunking / rattling noises, the bushings will squeak. It may not be just the swaybar, but other worn bushings as well. My comptech bar has poly bushings, and creaks constantly.
