Default What Ever Happened to the USDM Master Cylinder Brace

I seem to recall one of our intrepid sponsors / moderators was planning on designing/building/marketing/selling a USDM master cylinder brace that wouldn't require relocating brake lines.

What up with that?

Soon to be working with a different company to produce these As I get NO feedback from my prior builder.

I was out a car to use as a template for 2 months, I'll try and get a prototype up with in a week or 2 and have some made by expo... i hope. I've just got some much other crap to get done before expo, so this is a little low on my list. I'm also looking into making some metal plates to cover the front hood release cable so they can't break into it by cutting your front bumper cover

Ok whats a stiffy pedal?
have someone press your brake pedal hard while you look at the brake booster under the hood...

What about those people that have aftermarket strut bars?...And doesn't the front bar bend a little while under a cornering load?

**** guys, tell me what the specs are on it and my roommate can machine it for us; he is a Mechanical engineer, machines stuff all the time. We have a full scale professional machining shop here at ASU, and students get full access.

Does anyone have a technical drawing or specs on this? I can probably get it done in two weeks max. Once made it's easy to reproduce.

Thats what I plan on doing

Any idea of what you'd have to charge for it?
Sorry George, Not yet. I hope to keep cost under $75. I won't know until I get a quote from the shop.

Austin
If the front bar bends under a load, the shock tower that the bar is mounted to is bending also right? Therefore the seperate M/C brace would suffer the same problem.
