Default Clutch Question

So the race car still has the original OEM GSR 76,000 mile clutch in it and on the track this weekend the clutch was great when cold, but coming off of the track it was very high and spongy. I flushed the fluid and the same results. Is this an indication of overheating the clutch material? I always heel toe downshift and I am easy on the clutch, but curious what others think.

you have a 76k mile master cyl and slave cyl as well..? they could be contributors to the spongyness i would think. But it could be a pressure plate issue as well.

someone will chime in with more info.

my suggestion, and only a suggestion would be to go with a higher pressure plate, and use the oem friction plate (but obviously if its worn replace it). replace pilot and throwout bearing and all that good stuff. replace slave and m/c and that lil flex line with a braided ss one from technafit (it costs the same as oe so why not at $20) but some people use oe press plate and friction plate no problems.
