how to reupholster CRX seats?
Has anyone seen this thread I found a couple months ago and Now I can't find it. A guy did a whole write up of how to reupholster your crx seat and where to order the factory seat cover. Please help me find it thanks
I searched for you and found this link. Might not be the right one in regards to where to get factory seat covers but it does show you how to remove the old ones.

Honda also still carries the covers, seats, and cushions. You could also call and upholstery shop.
A lot of guy though swap everything from the passenger side to the driver side as the passenger seat is typically in very good shape.

I just remembered its on a kids webpage about his white civic hb and he has some different writeups and one was how to reupholster your seat. CRX Toad I was trying to get a hold of you so I could buy one of those cc plates off of you but I wound up having one made.

No, they don't. Just because they're listed in the parts catalog doesn't mean Honda has them.

No matter what you are right just because some pieces and parts show up doesn't mean they have it. I am pretty sure though most of those pieces are available.

Be VERY careful if you go to order seat upholstery from Honda at this point in time.
I went into my local Honda dealer and talked to my friend who is the parts manager, looking for replacement seat covers for my 89 SI hatchback.
These parts are discontinued from Hondas main stock and come from a sub-department that holds discontinued, but still in stock items.
According to the listings, the only covers available for my car, and should be correct, are noted as "black/black", however my car (with the original seats) are black around the edges and has the red/grey/black stripes in the center section.
I'd have been willing to order them except that due them coming out of the "discontinued" department, returns are not allowed and they are not willing to visually confirm the color prior to shipping.
So, basically they are saying that if I wanted to buy the bottom and back for the drivers side, it would be about $600 and if the colors were not correct, it's my tuff luck!!!!! They can't even state that the back will be the same as the base!
As a side note, I checked the prices at Majestic to get the two front seats and also the rear (I've got a hatch) and the price totaled about $3600!!!
If Honda liked us, they would make the material available so that an upholstery shop could do repair work. Honda doesn't care and (like most other manufactures) only wants to sell new cars.

When mine go out, I'm just gonna put aftermarket seats in. Mine are in great shape, but the side bolsters on CRX seats are pretty weak, so I wouldn't want to just replace them. i'd rather put a seat in there that could really hold me in place.

leather-like,
leather-like,
if you are good a sewing (sp?) i'm sure you could reupholster them yourself. The only problem is finding a good material for it that is prestreched.
