Default 94 Accord Ex tranny issue????

Hello all,
First time poster. I just bought a 94' accord with 162k on the odo. I have been driving about 50 miles each day or so and just today I had the oddest thing happen to me. Where my shift indicator is on my guage cluster was flashing and my speedo was at zero. It would only stop if I shut off the car and restarted. Happened going to work and then comming home as well.. Also it just did it agian while i was going and comming from the grocery store. Somebody PLEASE HELP..

I know i need to do some work to the car tranny is shifting hard so i figured a cleaning would be good. as well one of the fans on the rad isn't working either.

Thanks for the help.
Will G.

Hey... what's up man! How you doing?!
Wow... that sucks... it's doing the same thing my other accord did.... one of the fans wasn't working, auto tranny shifting hard, and was getting so hard to remove from park to reverse or vice versa. The "s" light would flash, and the speedometer would "die" and randomly come back....
A mechanic told me that that was a sensor, and was causing my tranny to read wrong information causing it to shift at higher rpms.
I never actually fixed, I just sold the car and got a newer accord 97 with a 5sp.

Here's a thread about transmission problem, and has a link to show you how to define transmission codes.
If you need more help, use the "search" button on the top right of your screen and search under "transmission light" or "tranny light" or anything you can think of about transmissions.
Good luck with it.
