Project street tire car (Stage 6)
Some of you may be curious as to why the Stage 6 CRX will not be running in the Power Street class this year (maybe later this year). We have been working on a little project here of a domestic nature. I know, sorry guys but we had to do it.
The car is an 05 Ford GT that the customer just was not happy with the power output. We thought it would be nice with a couple of GT35R's and we where right. So far it has only been tuned on pump gas (93 octane) running 18 PSI, stock engine and fuel system. The car is nothing short of phenomenal to drive or ride in. Second gear will make your stomach feel uneasy. Anyway, here is a pic and the dyno chart.

And I thought I was doing fairly decent on a pump gas tune!! haha just j/k
Those are some good numbers
One thing though I thought Mustang dudes alot of them were scared to push a stock crank to high on the hp scale because the factory stock cranks were a weak point?? I could be wrong but I know a guy that I used to work with pushed his stock crank to the limits and it let loose on him on the dyno. It was by far the nastiest blown engine that I have ever seen. Anyways he was using an older stock crank in a 331. Did they do something different to the newer Mustang engines as far as the crank or anything to make them better??
oh by the way that engine where the crank let loose it was insane. The block was in chunks, the heads mangled, only thing any good still were the valve covers I think haha. Its a wonder no one was hurt when that crank ended its life!!!

The old 5.0 mustang engines are nothing like the 4.6's. The stock 5.0 blocks will literally split in half past about 500 RWHP, and no forged crank in the block will save them. If your friend is running a 331 he is not using a stock crank, as a 331 uses a 3.25" aftermarket crank (opposed to the stock 3" stroke in a 302). The forged cranks in modular motors are bulletproof, same with the blocks. I have a friend who just got off the dyno, he laid down just over 1K to the wheels through a powerglide in a 96 Cobra using the stock block, stock crank, stock heads, stock cams, stock intake. Basically new pistons/rods in the block and throw a **** ton of boost at it. People have gone 6's @ 200+ MPH on a stock forged cobra crank and block.

Oh ok thanks for that info. Im a little out of the loop on the Mustang engines but I know that on his old engine the one that completely annihilated itself he used a stock crank for whatever reason? Maybe it was not a 331 but a 306 not sure though I know it had a stock crank and block. The pics of it were rad the engine was in like 5 chunks haha. I like Mustangs personally but didnt know that the newer engines were that stong
