Default 06 Salavaged Accord

Im interested in buying an 06 salvaged accord. what would be a ballpark figure to get the frame straightend and what problems could i expect from a front end collision as far as issues with the engine, drivetrain, etc.

To give a better guess we need a picture or two. But for a first impression I would say it's not worth it. You will probably never get it back to 100%

that's the thing about salvage vehicle there's no two alike.

A/C line is toasted, front impact beam needs to be replace, radiator, hoses, frame straighen

one frontal damaged salvage might just need to replace the front beam and straighten which is spare change

another frontal damage salvage might need to replace motor mount(or worst, the motor), transmission mount(or worst transmission), axles, abs line, etc

the last one will cost 10 times more

if you don't know what you are looking for, don't even bother.

they all look the same but there's alot more than that

frame damage can be bad, and you could never get it back to 100%, so you might have problems continuously

Don’t buy it; if you have way too much money go play casino, that way you only worry about one night, if you buy that Salvaged Accord then you’ll worry every night

Do you own a body shop? If so, and you have access to honda parts, you might be able to rebuild the car to original condition and have many years of reliable service. Downside is that you will NOT be able to sell the car for anything near what a not salvage car in the same condition would be worth

My 94 was salvaged at 60K and here I am at 145K and everything still works on the car including the A/C. I have had to replace only the following items since I have had it

1. Thermostat
2. Lower ball joint driver side
3. Rad cap
4. Driver side outer CV joint.
5. recharge A/C twice (once when I got it and once last year)
Car is getting to the point where it is going to turn into a rust bucket (rear quarters and hood) but I can get another 2 years out of it, it's all good.....

only worth it if you have connections everywhere. Maybe, the damage was too extensive for the insurance company to consider repairing.
