Default is this too low?

i have a 94 del sol S w/ H&R race springs on koni yellow shocks..

problem is that i think i'm a little too low. everytime i go over a bump, my inner fender area shreds a piece of my front tire.

i think the rear clunking noise i (and everybody else who hears clunks in the rear) experiencing also. can i solve this by rolling my front and rear fenders/quarter panel?

i'm planning to buy 17x7 wheels also...

Is it tucked? If so, it's too low.

I guarantee you're riding the bumpstops too.

I would raise the car and/or get stiffer front springs if you want to be that low.

My old tires were stredded on the inside with h&r sports the same way that you're describing.

Wheel size, like 15x7 or 15x6.5 etc. Wheel offset. Tire manufacturer.

15"x6" +45mm offset

It does matter. If you're having rubbing problems with these wheels, then it will be very hard to find a 17"x7" wheel that will have a high enough offset to clear your fender. Most 17s I've seen have a +40mm offset.

Yes, it's too low for 17s. Probably not for GSR wheels w/ 195/50/15 tires though.

it's everything in there... that piece next to the pinch seam... i'm thinkin about running h&r sports because of this issue. i hate the clunking when i hit little bumps on the road. handles like a dream, but drives worse than a tank.

what perch are you running them on with the Konis? Maybe try running the same spring on the top perch for a little higher ride height, but with stiff springs?
