Default what do i need for a TURBO LS in my 89 civic sedan

hey guys, ive come across another sedan with a blown motor, great condition for 100$ so i think im gonna pick it up and start a little project with it, the main thing with all this is price, it will be put togather accordingly, but im trying to get and idea, ive done some searching, and decided id go ahead and ask, the main goal is a turbo LS swap running around 10lbs of boost, and money of course!

the car is a DX

id need the LS motor (anything specific?)
mounting kit, something like hasport's?
LS tranny? or is there a better option will i have an axle/hubs problems, (its a DX btw)
turbo/kit (intercooler, piping etc...) what would be a good turbo??
injectors
fuel pump
boost controller

is there anything i really left out, that i might need in addition to all this stuff? last time i went into a project w/o planning it out first, i spent money left and right on things i never thought id need!

any help or direction is appreciated

you have to convert to multi point fuel injection ..keep the stock dx wiring harness and modify it..theres writeup links in the FAQ thread at the top of the page..

and just so you know before you buy the engine swap,,90-91 are obd0 and cable tranny,,,,92-93 are obd1 and cable tranny,,,,94-95 are obd1 and hydro tranny,,,96+ is 0bd2 a or b and hydro tranny..94+ engines are called B18b and 90-93 engines are B18a..for axles you match them with the halfshaft ,,so if you get 90-93 get 90-93 integra axles,,if you get 94+ then get 94-01 integra axles....And you'll have to remove the dust ring from inside the crx hub so the axle(s) dont bind..

How much hp you want to make ?

good info from Mr. Speaker^^
Motorwise, get the B18A (90-93), tranny, axles, shift linkage, mounts. Convert the car to MPFI and get resitor boxes.

mr speaker, i did know about mpfi, however thank you for all that other information!

i dont quote know about numbers yet, like i said money is more important than some extra HP, depends on the deals i can find and such, its stricly for fun, just a fun to drive car, nothing way out of control

anywhere from 200-260, what do you think...

also rex, for fuel managment im getting injectors and a fuel pump, ill have a local guy here tune it/crome but thats about it...

for that look into a walbro 190 fuel pump ,,or even a stock dohc vtec fuel pump,,,be nice and oem queite but still pump out enough for +300whp..dohc vtec pump requires some minor mods to get it in our cars though..

for injectors look into the 450cc from a turbo manual dsm..they're good for around 300whp..and dirt cheap..

chrome is great,,but you know you'll have to convert to obd1 to use it...I think what you should do is find an obd1 swap..and if its hydro tranny just a mount kit made for the hydro tranny..

For turbo try and stick to name brand,,garrett, turbonetics, precesion, master power,etc,etc...I think some sort of t3/t4e would suit you good..Or if you want some better low down look into a t3 super 60 ..

and dont forget a clutch..and some good suspension to get the power to the ground..

thanks so much mr speaker,

so you think if i max out at around 260-270 whp i will be fine with a walbro 190?

i should be able to find those injectors pretty easy.

the converting to odb1 is the confusing part, i dont know much about it, or hyrdro tranny stuff

and yeah i was thinking a t3 would be plenty, i planned on getting a better clutch but nothing insane, just worthy... and some bang for my buck coilover sys... but thats down the road

guess i need to look for a 92-93 swap, odb1 and cable!

how hard would it be to get a odb0 and convert to odb1

now days its so easy..rywire.com has all the obd0-obd1 adapter harness you need and can make you whatever....But if you want to do it yourself look here http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...-OBD1...

yeah the walbro 190 is fine..if you get the bigger 255 and 255hp then you would need a adjustable fuel regulator also..

and with the hydro tranny,,you get a mount kit made for the hdyro tranny and it comes with an adapter that allows you to use the stock cable to enage it...
