accord suspension issues
i just put on h&r race springs on my accord and the ride is excellent but it raised my car a few inches and i hate it! i wanted to know how much of the spring i can cut before messing up my ride stability.i was told that h&r race are progressive springs i dont know if that is of any significance. i drive a 91 accord lx( if that helps)
It raised your car? Was it on a different type of aftermarket springs previously?
I wouldn't suggest cutting your springs, they're designed to work at the length they are, and not with coils cut from them.

Cutting a linear spring will just raise the spring rate and shorten the length. Cutting a progressive spring can be much less predictable.
Then again, I can't imagine how "progressive" and "race" belong in the same sentence.
Lowering springs should lower the car. If its higher, then something was installed wrong.
