Default from a dx to a mini-me, do I still need the injector resistor box?

I know I would need it when going from dpfi to mpfi, but what if I swap out the d15 for a d16z6 engine and computer? does obd1 still use a resistor box?

obd1 injectors do not use the resistor box.

So would you just wire the injectors straight to computer and forget the whole mpfi swap?

Since the harness only has 2 injectors you still only need two wires but can you put them into a plug so it is easier to take engine out instead of having to cut anything?

Just curious.

You need the mpfi swap still.

When I did it I just got an obd1 IM/TB and used that, wired up my injectors like I should, then ran the four injector power wires together to a common power source to bypass where the injector resistor box would be.

I would but I taped the hell out of all my wiring. You basically take the two power wires (yel/blk) off the old injectors, wire together, then wire all four of the power wires from the new injectors to them.

But what if you left the injector box and tried to run the car, would it still work?

And by wiring all the power wires together or do you mean ground ones?
The power wires should still be at ports A1, A3, A5 & A7 right?

Then the computer will send ground to the correct ones anyways because A3 & A7 or A1 & A3 would be factory spliced together. So by running new power wires they should all be covered.

Correct me if I am wrong on this.

The power is constant and you wire switched grounds to the ecu. You can't run obd1 injectors with a resistor box without ******* things up.

To clarify:

OBD0 Computer - OBD1 Injectors

OBD0 Computer - OBD0 Injectors - OBD0 Res. Box
