ok i have 2000 Civic Ex 2dr.

Short version: What can i do to better the drivers side window operation?

Long version:

the window on the drivers side has been acting screwy since i got it.

the window is very slow coming down and up at the mid-way point.
sometimes the front part has so much friction it will pull the backside out of weather seal while coming up.

Also some how the window got scratched up a few times coming up (i hear the sounds) the scratches where on the outside.

So i took the panel off. couldn't see anything that could put scratches on the window. I put grease on all the moving parts. put some kinda high temp grease in the Tracks. the window seemed to be in better shape but after a few days the problem is alot worse....

 

silicone spray on the window track helped mine out a lot.

as far as the scraping, pull the panel and plug back in the switch, run it up and down a few times, it should be obvious what's causing it.

yeah i thought it would be obvious too but i couldn't find anything even close to the windows (nothing withing 2 inches). my theory it was scraping one of the metal bars but it hasn't done that since i looked at it. oh well.
